Payroll Specialist About the Role We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join a growing organization in the Poughkeepsie area. This position will be responsible for processing payroll accurately and on time while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong payroll experience, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information professionally. Responsibilities Process weekly, biweekly, or semi-monthly payroll for employees Review and audit timesheets, earnings, deductions, and payroll adjustments Maintain employee payroll records and update information as needed Ensure compliance with payroll laws, tax regulations, and company policies Respond to employee questions regarding pay, deductions, benefits, and taxes Reconcile payroll reports and assist with month-end activities Prepare payroll-related reports for management and auditorsCoordinate with HR regarding new hires, terminations, and employee changes Assist with annual processing of W-2s and other payroll filings Qualifications 2+ years of payroll processing experience Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations Experience with payroll systems such as ADP, Paychex, UKG, or similar platforms Strong Microsoft Excel skills High level of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Comprehensive benefits package Paid time off and holidays Opportunity for professional growth and advancement #J-18808-Ljbffr
