Eaton\u2019s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a District Operations Manager - Mid Americas. \n\nThe expected annual salary range for this role is $146000 - $215000 a year. This position is also eligible for a variable incentive program.\n\nPlease note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. \n\n## What you\u2019ll do:\n\nEaton\u2019s Engineering Service \u0026 Systems division is hiring a District Operations Manager to lead our field services engineering team in Southern Ohio \u0026 Indiana. This position can be based out of our Westerville, OH, West Chester, OH, or Indianapolis, IN site and is subject to 25% travel. The District Operations Manager is responsible for managing the day-to-day field service business and associated personnel. In addition, this position will support the regional sales organization in growing regional markets through control of price and with an emphasis on value and service to the customer.\n\nEaton has the largest and most experienced team of field services representatives in the industry. This team brings extensive skills and experiences to field service engineering. Active participation in recognized technical societies such as NFPA and IEEE and collaboration with a variety of utilities and industries ensures that our representatives are knowledgeable about today\u2019s cutting-edge technology and engineering techniques. We assist customers at every stage of the power system: offering start-up and commissioning of equipment, performing planned maintenance, monitoring performance, diagnosing system problems remotely, as well as responding to emergencies on a 24/7 basis, 365 days a year. Our support services help businesses make the most of their existing electrical equipment by optimizing performance and extending the life of existing facilities. \n\n\nIn this position you will; \n\n * Assure the safety of employees who work in low, medium, and high voltage work environments. Fosters and develops safety culture through field visits and coaching. Assures compliance with safety policies, assures safety equipment resources are available and properly tested, provides direction for proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.\n * Effectively manage a team of diverse and dispersed field-based workforce throughout assigned territory. Demonstrates good corporate citizenship. Assures the security and effective allocation of company resources and assets.\n * Assure an effective and skilled staff is maintained through recruiting, assessment of talent (find gaps and follow action plans to fill gaps), training \u0026 development, goal setting, communications, performance appraisal, and conformance to applicable company policies and standards.\n * Act as a sales and marketing agent in conjunction with sales and operations management to ensure top-line sales and bottom-line profit objectives are met.\n * Develop and manage accurate yearly and monthly forecasts to deliver on quarterly and yearly financial commitments.\n * Responsible for driving operational excellence through service operations including, effective promotion and deployment of continuous improvement fundamentals, procurement and effective use of capital equipment for the territory, efficient execution of service orders, inventory management, managing receivables, and turn of backlog.\n\n\n\n## Qualifications:\n\nBasic Qualifications:\n\n * Bachelor\u2019s Degree from an accredited institution\n * Minimum 7 years of experience in a service, sales or engineering role\n * Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience leading an operations, service, or engineering unit\n * Possess and maintain a valid and unrestricted driver\u2019s license\n * Eaton will not consider applicants for employment immigration sponsorship or support for this position.
