OR Resource Registered Nurse - $36-56 per hour

Job Title & Overview Registered Nurse (RN) OR – Operating Room – BJC HealthCare – O'Fallon, Illinois. Specialty: OR – Operating Room. Discipline: RN. Duration: Ongoing. Employment Type: Staff. Unit: Memorial Belleville OR – Plastics, Urology, Dental, ENT, Robotic, and GYN Service Lines. Shift hours: 0600-1630; Four (4) Days/Week. No Call, No Weekends, No Holidays. Comprehensive benefits start first of month after hire. Additional Preferred Requirements: Previous OR Experience Strongly Preferred; BSN Degree. Responsibilities Circulates and scrubs for assigned specialty and OR procedures. Serves as liaison between specialty physicians and hospital. Reviews and maintains physician preference cards from assigned specialty. Maintains proper function of equipment in assigned specialty. Serves as a clinical preceptor/mentor for orientee and existing staff being introduced to the specialty area, providing clinical experience that promotes growth and competency. Present training sessions on new equipment and instrumentation for nursing and technical staff members when the need arises. Provides feedback to management regarding staff evaluations. Manages the inventory of specialty supplies to maintain par levels. Reviews specialty case cart supplies, custom packs, for accuracy and cost effectiveness. Meets with vendors and serves as a liaison between them, management, and the physicians. Qualifications – Minimum Requirements Education: Nursing Diploma/Associate's – Nursing; Experience: No experience. Supervisor Experience: No experience. Licenses & Certifications: RN. Preferred Qualifications Education: Bachelor's Degree – Nursing; Experience: Less than 2 years.
