We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in Fresno, California. This position offers broad exposure to core accounting operations, including payables, cost and inventory support, financial reporting, and close activities. The ideal candidate is analytical, highly organized, and eager to build accounting expertise while contributing to an efficient finance function.

Responsibilities:
• Manage daily accounts payable support by reviewing invoices, assigning appropriate coding, and coordinating with vendors to keep transactions accurate and timely.
• Address supplier questions and help resolve payment or account discrepancies in a thorough and prompt manner.
• Contribute to inventory and cost accounting tasks by assisting with tracking, analysis, and related financial records.
• Prepare reconciliations for assigned accounts and examine balance sheet activity to identify variances or inconsistencies.
• Enter, verify, and maintain accounting data within company systems to support reliable reporting and record accuracy.
• Participate in month-end and year-end closing efforts by assisting with schedules, documentation, and accounting entries.
• Use Microsoft Excel to evaluate large volumes of financial data and create reports that support business decisions.
• Provide assistance with budgeting activities, recurring financial reports, and ad hoc assignments as needed.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance colleagues on cross-functional priorities and recommend improvements that strengthen processes and reporting quality.• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related discipline, or current progress toward completing degree requirements.
• Working knowledge of journal entries, general ledger processes, and core accounting principles.
• Experience supporting or exposure to accounts payable activities, including invoice handling and vendor communication.
• Familiarity with cost accounting concepts and an interest in inventory-related financial work.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills with the ability to analyze data and prepare clear, accurate reports.
• High attention to detail, sound organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Positive attitude, strong communication skills, and a willingness to learn within a collaborative team environment.
