Information Technology ManagerCompany:The Boeing CompanyThe Boeing Company’s Information Digital Technology & Security (IDT&S) Engineering division is seeking an Information Technology Manager to join the team in North Charleston, SC; Berkeley, MO;Everett, WA; or Seattle, WA.The selected candidate will lead multiple talented and matrixed teams in developing solutions for the Certification, Safety, Airworthiness, and Loadable Software functions. This individual must leverage strong skills in relationship building and teaming, problem solving, strategic planning, Agile software development, technical acumen, and communication at all levels to help accelerate our team's operations and lead them to successful delivery of valuable business solutions. Partner closely with a diverse set of stakeholders in the support of Certification activities for our new Commercial programs, advancing our Safety culture, and loading operations-critical software onto aircraft prior to first flight and delivery.Partner with global team in defining the future state of team operations as we strive to deliver new enterprise solutions, stabilize and sunset aging applications, enhance capabilities in our existing solutions, and chart out the future course of applications and technologies in the Certification & Safety Product space.Position Responsibilities:Lead and manage the Certification & Safety application maintenance, development team, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to team membersCollaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, define project scope, and establish project timelinesManage the software development lifecycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenanceEnsure adherence to software development, best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance processesDevelop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, regulators, peers, partners and direct reportsManage relationships with external vendors and contractors, ensuring timely delivery of software solutions and adherence to service level agreementsManage budget and financial plan for the teamCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including business teams, project managers, and IT support, to ensure seamless integration of software solutions with existing systems and processesIdentify, recruit, develop, engage, and retain team talentCoach, counsel, mentor and provides developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance employee performance and expand capabilitiesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Candidates must have at least one year of experience in a leadership role (team leader, temp manager, large scale cross functional project/program management, or formal manager experience) OR have completed the Boeing internal course “Exploring Leadership.”10+ years of experience in information technology or technical support5+ years of experience working in a cross-functional environment with all levels in the business from individual contributors to executive leadership5+ years of years in software development and collaborative team environment using agile principles and a structured development process including code reviews and automated DevOps processes/toolsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor’s Degree or higherExperience communicating complex concepts clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholdersExperience with Agile Software Development/ Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)Experience in DevSecOps and AutomationExposure to implementing AI solutions in existing engineering software solutionsExperience coaching and mentoring managers, leads, and individual reports to continuous learning and improvementExperience in Aerospace domainConflict Of Interest:Successful Candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict Of Interest (COI) assessment process.Drug Free Workplace:Boeing is a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria is met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:At Boeing, we strive to deliver a Total Rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
