Position Title: Aircraft Mechanic II —Depot-Level Aircraft Component Maintenance

POSITION OVERVIEW

STi is seekingexperienced Aircraft Mechanic II personnel to support the Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) and Ogden AirLogistics Complex (OO-ALC) under the DepotOn-Site Contract Augmentee Teams 5 (DOCAT5) Task Order at Hill Air ForceBase, Utah.

This effort supportsdepot-level repair, overhaul, modification, and maintenance activities for the 531st and 532nd Commodities Maintenance Squadrons(CMMXS) within the 309th CommoditiesMaintenance Group (CMXG) . Personnel will support critical aircraftcomponent and systems sustainment work involving landing gear, fuel tanks,pylons, screw jacks, hydraulics, pneudraulics, flight controls, structuralcomponents, and other aircraft mechanical assemblies.

The ideal candidatehas hands-on aircraft maintenance experience, strong technical orderdiscipline, and a background in aircraft structures, hydraulics, pneumatics,fuel systems, sheet metal repair, component replacement, or depot-levelaircraft maintenance. This role is well-suited for prior Air Force maintainers,aircraft structural mechanics, hydraulic systems specialists, depot/MROmechanics, crew chiefs with strong repair experience, and cleared aviationmaintenance professionals.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilitiesinclude:

· Performmaintenance, repair, overhaul, and modification of aircraft structures andmechanical systems of moderate to high complexity.

· Troubleshoot,repair, and replace aircraft mechanical systems including flight controls,engines, hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fuel systems, batteries,hydrostats, and related mechanical components.

· Supportdepot-level repair and overhaul operations involving landing gear, fuel tanks,pylons, screw jacks, hydraulic systems, pneudraulic systems, wheels, brakes,and related aircraft commodities.

· Diagnose equipmentmalfunctions, determine corrective actions, and restore components or systemsto proper operating condition.

· Interpret andapply technical orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, manufacturer manuals,maintenance manuals, and technical publications.

· Perform aircraftsheet metal repairs, structural modifications, component replacements, andrelated airframe repair activities.

· Useaircraft-specific tools and test equipment including torque wrenches, dialindicators, micrometers, sheet metal brakes, shears, and other precision tools.

· Make accuratemaintenance documentation entries in aircraft logs, records, and requiredmaintenance systems.

· Maintaincompliance with applicable technical publications, safety standards, toolcontrol requirements, quality requirements, and local operating procedures.

· Coordinateeffectively with Government supervisors, engineers, quality inspectors, workleads, and maintenance personnel.

· Prioritizeassigned workload to meet production schedules, project deadlines, and missionreadiness requirements.

· May lead or assistteams during complex aircraft maintenance, repair, or overhaul activities asassigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

U.S. Citizenshiprequired. Active Secret clearance required at start.

· Experienceperforming aircraft maintenance, repair, overhaul, modification, orcomponent-level maintenance.

· Working knowledgeof aircraft mechanical systems, troubleshooting practices, and repairprocedures.

· Experience readingand applying technical orders, maintenance manuals, blueprints, engineeringdrawings, or manufacturer documentation.

· Familiarity withaircraft sheet metal, structural repair, airframe repair, or structuralmodification work.

· Experience withaircraft hydraulic, pneumatic, fuel, flight control, landing gear, wheel/brake,or related mechanical systems.

· Ability to useaircraft maintenance tools, precision measuring equipment, test equipment, andshop equipment safely and effectively.

· Ability tocomplete accurate maintenance documentation and follow established quality andsafety requirements.

· Ability to workeffectively in a depot, shop, hangar, production, or military maintenanceenvironment.

· Ability tocoordinate professionally with Government and contractor maintenance teams.

· Ability to supportday shift, swing shift, or schedule changes based on mission requirements.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· Prior experiencesupporting Hill AFB, Ogden Air Logistics Complex, Air Force Sustainment Center,309 CMXG, 531 CMMXS, 532 CMMXS, or comparable Air Force depot maintenanceenvironments.

· Prior USAFaircraft maintenance experience, especially in aircraft hydraulic systems,aircraft structural maintenance, aerospace maintenance, crew chief, or depotmaintenance specialties.

· Experience withlanding gear, wheels and brakes, fuel tanks, pylons, screw jacks, hydraulics,pneudraulics, flight controls, or component overhaul.

· Experienceperforming aircraft sheet metal repair, structural modification,corrosion -related repair, fabrication, or airframe structural work.

· Experience workingfrom technical orders, engineering drawings, blueprints, work instructions,production schedules, and quality inspection requirements.

· Experience withmilitary aircraft platforms such as F-16, F-35, F-22, C-130, C-17, KC-135,B-52, A-10, T-38, or similar aircraft.

· A&P license,military aircraft maintenance training, Air Force technical school completion,or equivalent aviation maintenance training preferred but not required.

· Strong attentionto detail, safety discipline, tool control awareness, and ability to meetproduction timelines in a regulated maintenance environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

· Work will beperformed on-site at Hill Air Force Base, Utah .

· Support will beprovided within depot-level maintenance and commodities repair environmentssupporting the 531st and 532nd CMMXS.

· Work may occur inshop, production, industrial, depot, hangar, or maintenance work-centersettings.

· Personnel may berequired to support day shift, swing shift, schedule changes, overtime,weekends, or holidays based on Government mission requirements.

· Position requirescompliance with safety procedures, PPE requirements, tool control requirements,technical publications, and quality standards.

· Personnel must beable to work in a hands-on aircraft maintenance environment and perform dutiesrequiring standing, walking, bending, lifting, use of tools, and work aroundaircraft components and maintenance equipment.
