Job Description
ICU Registered Nurse - 12 Hour Nights

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position with 12-hour night shifts, including weekends and holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The ICU Registered Nurse will provide care for critically ill patients with complex needs in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities include initiating and managing invasive and non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring and responding to acute medical situations. The nurse will collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess critically ill patients with life-threatening conditions.
• Administer medications and titrate intravenous drips as required, including Levophed, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Heparin, and Insulin.
• Coordinate care with healthcare teams including hospitalists and specialists.
• Provide wound care, manage ventilators, and perform other necessary interventions.
• Document patient data accurately in the EPIC charting system.
• Float to Stepdown or Med-Surg/Telemetry units as required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.
• Preferred: Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIHSS, and Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certifications.
• Two years of Critical Care experience is preferred with travel experience being a requirement.
• Experience with CRRT, IABP, and Impella devices is an advantage.
