You will be a member of a software development scrum team and follow the SAFe Agile software development methodology to produce weapon planning software for the next generation Mission Planning system. The next generation system utilizes a microservices architecture and JavaScript and React for the front-end and primarily C# for the back-end services.Position Responsibilities:Supports the design, development, test, and maintenance of weapon planning software throughout the end-to-end lifecycleAssists Product Owner to review, analyze, and translate customer requirements into initial design of software productsSupports with development, maintenance, enhancement and optimization of software products and functionalities for systems integrationsSupport ​development, documentation and maintenance of architectures, requirements, algorithms, interfaces and designs for software products​Support with debugging and resolution of issues identified to ensure the reliability and efficiency of software productsTroubleshoot technical issuesAssists to develop, establish, monitor and improve software processesBasic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Bachelor's DegreeAbility to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance5+ years of software development experience to include use of languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React library, C# and/or C++Experience with development and use of REST style APIsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including systems engineers, hardware engineers, and program managersExperience with Agile software development methodologies and processesExperience with Agile project tracking tools like Jira, Jira Align or Azure DevopsExperience with unit testing, integration testing, and system-level validation in complex software environmentsProficiency with version control and configuration management tools like Git, Azure Devops, or similarAbility to document software designs, interface specifications, and test plans clearlyPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science and 5+ years of related work experience OR Bachelor’s Degree and 9+ years of directly related work experience OR 13+ years of related, relevant experience9+ years of software development experience to include use of languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, React library, C# and/or C++Prior experience working on defense, aerospace, or mission-critical software programs, preferably involving OMS or open architecture systemsUnderstanding of cybersecurity principles and secure coding practices relevant to mission systemsExperience with modular and open systems design: Ability to design, develop, and integrate modular software components that comply with open architecture principlesExperience integrating software components using standardized interfacesUnderstanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and best practicesExperience with .NET MAUIDrug Free Workplace:We are a Drug Free Workplace where post offer applicants and employees are subject to testing for marijuana, cocaine, opioids, amphetamines, PCP, and alcohol when criteria are met as outlined in our policies.Pay & Benefits:We strive to deliver a total rewards package that will attract, engage and retain the top talent.
