Interventional Cardiology Physician Opportunity - Las Cruces, NM Position Overview MountainView Regional Medical Center is seeking an Interventional Cardiology Physician for a locum tenens position. This is an ongoing assignment with a start date of ASAP. The role involves scheduled clinical hours plus call coverage in an outpatient practice setting. Key Responsibilities Provide 24-hour call coverage on weekdays with 8+ hours of gratis time Provide 24-hour call coverage on weekends with 4+ hours of gratis time See approximately 15-20 patient encounters per shift Manage 7-10 average patients seen and 7-10 average phone consultations Respond to beeper calls within 30 minutes Maintain call ratio of 1/4 with approximately 1/3 hands-on involvement Obtain and maintain hospital privileges Candidate Requirements Board certification in Interventional Cardiology (eligible minimum) Active medical license in New Mexico Completion of fellowship training required BLS certification required ACLS certification required Hospital privileges required (temporary privileges available) Estimated credentialing time: 30 days Patient Compensation Fund enrollment required for New Mexico Organizational Highlights MountainView Regional Medical Center is part of Community Health Systems.
