Established 65 years ago, our law firm is a trusted leader in contract enforcement and commercial collections in the Birmingham, Michigan area. We maintain a high-volume, fast-paced professional environment built on stability, reputation, and dedicated client service. We are seeking a motivated, detail-oriented Paralegal to join our team in-office. You will work directly with our office manager and attorneys to support our growing practice.
Job Responsibilities
Client & Court Contact: Act as a primary point of contact for client communication, document gathering, and updates. Maintain professional correspondence with various Michigan courts. File & Case Preparation: Review, organize, and prepare comprehensive legal files and documentation required for initiating and pursuing lawsuits. Asset Investigation: Utilize specialized databases to research, locate, and analyze debtor assets for post-judgment enforcement. Electronic Filing: Prepare, review, and file default judgments, motions, and other formal court orders through the Truefile and MiFile systems. Administrativ
As an Assistant Paralegal specializing in Corporate Law, commercial collections you will provide essential support through document preparation and administrative tasks under direct daily supervision. You will occasionally interact with clients, assisting the legal team in managing corporate legal matters efficiently without the need for travel or court appearances.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and organize legal documents related to corporate law cases
- Provide administrative support to the legal team
- Assist with legal research as needed
- Maintain document management systems
- Facilitate occasional client communications
Preferred Qualifications
- Associate degree in Paralegal Studies
- Experience in legal research
- Proficiency with document management software
