IT Infrastructure Engineer

Job ResponsibilityMaintains, designs, implements, and supports the corporate infrastructure by identifying requirements, installing upgrades, troubleshooting, and monitoring performance.Job DutiesResponsible for management, maintenance and architecture of storage, virtualized environment, servers, network devices (e.g., routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, VPN, QoS), telecommunications, and productivity toolsPerform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes and security configurationsMonitor systems and identify performance issues, proactively ensure system availability and reliabilityMonitor system resource utilization, trending, and capacity planningProvide Tier-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues for internal and external customersProfessionally represent the infrastructure team as a technical consultant on projects.Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructureSelect and implement security tools, policies, and procedures in conjunction with the company's security teamMaintain the necessary project plans and documentation of all system builds and modificationsInteract and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors and contract consultantsMaintain good working relationships with all service providers and vendor to ensure that services received meet expected requirements of contractResponsible for project management and implementation of corporate infrastructure capex projects with limited supervision.Ability to be on call for emergenciesQualifications and Education RequirementsBaccalaureate Degree in Computer Science/Technology5 years of infrastructure and network experience in a corporate environmentPreferred SkillsKnowledge of network software and current operating systemsAbility to work independently and be attentive to detailsProblem solving, planning, ability to multi-task and work under pressureGood Verbal and Communication SkillsEmployee BenefitsHealth, Dental and vision coverage optionsLife, short and long term disability insurancesNon Union 401(k) plan with employer matchingPaid vacation and holiday timeHealth and wellness programsImportant NotesNLMK is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
