Minimum 6 months Paraprofessional or Special Education experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Step into a supportive school environment where you’ll make a meaningful difference as a Paraprofessional, assisting students in grades K-8. This contract opportunity begins August 20th and offers a consistent weekday schedule from 7:30 AM to 3:00 PM, running throughout a 37.5-week school year. The role focuses on providing Essential Support Personnel (ESP) and Behavioral Intervention (BI) services, with multiple positions available to match your expertise.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Prior experience working as a paraprofessional in a school or educational setting is desirable
- Comfort supporting students in an academic and behavioral capacity across K-8
- Adaptable, caring, and patient approach to meeting individual student needs
- Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, students, and school staff
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility to work in varied classroom environments or one-on-one as needed
Key Responsibilities:
- Offer hands-on support to teachers and students throughout the school day
- Provide direct assistance to students needing educational or behavioral support
- Assist with classroom activities, transitions, and learning routines
- Implement strategies designed by educational professionals specific to each student
- Encourage positive behaviors and support student engagement
- Maintain a safe and inclusive classroom environment for all learners
