Medical Unit ReceptionistNovant's Rowan Medical Center is looking for a Medical Unit Receptionist on our MedSurg unit. The Medical Unit Receptionist provides administrative and clerical support for a busy Medical-Surgical Unit, serving as a welcoming point of contact for patients, families, and hospital staff. Responsibilities include answering phones, coordinating communication, managing patient information, assisting with admissions and discharges, and supporting the nursing team with daily unit operations. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, professional, detail-oriented, and enjoys working in a fast-paced hospital environment as part of a collaborative team.Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.Experience: One year experience in healthcare, preferred.Licensure/Certification: NC state approved curricula for restrictive interventions (facility specific) within 3 months of hire for Emergency Departments and Behavioral Health units, required.Additional Skills (preferred): Experience with answering multiple phone lines.
