The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University College of Medicine and the Wexner Medical Center seeks a full-time, Board Certified/Eligible General Plastic Surgeon. Academic rank and track commensurate with academic record and experience.

Position Overview

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery is seeking an outstanding, motivated, board-certified/board-eligible general plastic surgeon to join our comprehensive plastic surgery team. We are seeking candidates dedicated to collaboration and delivering exceptional patient care.

The successful candidate will also contribute actively to the department's academic mission through teaching and mentorship of residents and medical students. Prior experience in contributing to and building multidisciplinary programs is strongly preferred.

Department/Division Overview The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has 20 full-time faculty, 5 faculty at Nationwide Children's Hospital and 10 community faculty who are committed to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research and education. Our residency program consists of both integrated and independent pathways. We have 27 residents and 3 fellows (microsurgery and nerve). We are a referral center for central Ohio, West Virginia and Kentucky and provide comprehensive Plastic Surgery care at the Wexner Medical Center including University Hospital, East Hospital, The James Comprehensive Cancer Center and the multiple free-standing ambulatory sites of The Ohio State University.

Duties and Responsibilities

• To provide safe, high quality patient care
• To provide clinical and didactic education to learners of all levels
• To adhere to all other duties and guideline of the Department and The Chair as assigned.

Requirements

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)
• Successful completion of an accredited Plastic Surgery Residency Program
• Licensed or license eligible for State of Ohio
• Board certified or board eligible in Plastic Surgery
