Field Operations Coordinator

The Urban League of Metropolitan St.Louis, the leading champion of empowerment and opportunity for individuals throughout the region in securing economic self-reliance, social equality, and civil rights, is seeking a highly motivated individual with a passion for helping others to work as a Field Operations Coordinator. The Field Operations Coordinator oversees on the ground recovery efforts from planning through completion, supporting our Disaster Recovery Program which assists with clean-up and recovery efforts including demolition, cleaning, repair, renovation, and reconstruction of damaged and destroyed structures, facilities, and lands located within an area impacted by an emergency or major disaster with a focus on safety, budget and timelines, co‑managing teams in the field, securing permits, handling hazardous materials, coordinating equipment and ensuring compliance with OSHA/environmental laws. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate field recovery operations with employer partners and recovery teams. Implement pre-defined disaster recovery activities in partnership with employer partners. Access worksites for safety, timeline of projects and resources needed. Manage logistics, equipment, personnel deployment, and essential supplies for recovery sites. Act as the main point of contact for onsite operations and liaison with SOS+S leadership. Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, quality control, debris removal, and recycling. Monitor field operations spending and provide timely updates to leadership on recovery status. Support disaster recovery training and exercises. Other duties as assigned. Ideal Candidate Must Have 1-3 years of experience in disaster recovery, emergency response, construction management, logistics, or field operations. Knowledge of worksite safety standards and environmental remediation. Experience with project management software and job costing. Experience leading field teams and managing physically demanding and intense outdoor work. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to demonstrate tact and discretion in preparing, disclosing, and handling information of a confidential and sensitive nature. We are proud to be an equal-opportunity employer.
