Type: Full-Time/ Permanent
Shift & Schedule: Days | No Weekends
Pay: $150,000 - $184,745 (Based on Experience)
Bonus: Up to 17.5% Annual Incentive Bonus

Position Overview:

Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a Director Emergency Services for an exciting Local job in Asheville, NC.

Responsibilities

• Drive evidence-based clinical practices to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.

• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and organizational standards.

• Lead quality improvement initiatives and monitor key performance indicators.

• Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and accreditation reviews.

• Oversee equipment maintenance and departmental compliance programs.

• Direct Emergency Department operations to optimize patient flow and throughput.

• Manage volume forecasting, staffing plans, admission/discharge coordination, and resource utilization.

• Develop policies and procedures that enhance care coordination, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration across departments.

• Lead initiatives that improve patient satisfaction and customer service.

• Analyze patient feedback and implement strategies to enhance the overall patient experience.

• Build and sustain a high-performing culture focused on engagement, accountability, and professional growth.

• Mentor and develop managers and frontline leaders.

• Recruit, retain, and develop top clinical talent.

• Support workforce planning and succession development.

• Participate in annual budgeting, forecasting, and resource planning.

• Manage labor productivity, staffing models, and premium pay utilization.

• Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality care standards.

• Monitor departmental financial performance and implement corrective actions when needed.

• Collaborate with executive leadership and physician partners to expand services and improve market position.

• Identify opportunities for innovation, growth, and operational excellence.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN).

• Minimum 5 years of Emergency Services experience.

• Minimum 3 years of acute care leadership experience.

• Active RN License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's Degree.

• Director-level leadership experience.

• Experience leading high-volume Emergency Departments.

• Strong knowledge of quality improvement, regulatory compliance, patient safety, and operational excellence.

• Proven experience in budgeting, financial management, and strategic planning.

• Strong leadership, communication, and team development skills.
