Specialist, Business Development (Transactional)

Specialist, Business Development (Transactional) – Palo Alto office (hybrid). Responsibilities Engage in new business generation process by project managing and executing pitches, proposals, and RFPs. Maintain accountability for timely and accurate completion and submission of pitches, ensuring proper document storage and tracking, and execute appropriate follow‑up steps post‑submission. Maintain up‑to‑date pitch content, practice materials, client information and experience tracking. Assist in client targeting and growth; identify targets and routes to market, cross‑sell opportunities, and campaign initiatives. Assist with strategic planning and execution of client events and speaking engagements, analyze attendee lists, prepare tailored materials, support attorney follow‑up and track outcomes in the CRM system. Support operational efficiency and communication by following guidelines, developing departmental procedures, and ensuring effective customer service. Manage firm resources responsibly and ensure compliance with firm policies and procedures. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications Strong knowledge of firm computer software (InterAction, Foundation, MS Office). Current knowledge of industry best practices, trends and techniques. Strong project management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast‑paced environment. Precise attention to detail, superior proofreading and fact‑checking. Professional demeanor, high emotional intelligence, cultural sensitivity, and ability to interact effectively at all levels. Continuous improvement and innovation mindset. Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills. Deep understanding of the firm’s business and ability to collaborate with stakeholders. Quick learner of new software, systems, databases and procedures. Ability to work well in demanding, fast‑paced environment. Discretion and sound judgment. Flexibility to travel and attend key events and meetings on occasion. Flexibility to adjust hours and work required hours to meet business needs. Education and Experience Bachelor’s Degree required.
