Field Service Technician

Our client, a well-established leader in the recovery, reclamation, and lifecycle management of refrigerants and specialty gases, is seeking a full-time Field Service Technician to support the HVAC and specialty gas industries. This is a great opportunity for a personable, hands-on individual who enjoys working in the field for a company that values its employees and offers strong growth potential as the local market expands. The role covers a service radius near Kansas City, MO, with occasional travel required for larger projects.

Responsibilities/skills:

• Drive a company-provided truck to job sites daily to perform reclamation and recovery services for refrigerant and other specialty gases
• Deliver excellent customer service while identifying opportunities for additional service, gas buy-back, and refrigerant spot buy sales to meet territory targets
• Submit daily work orders and weekly expense reports in a timely manner
• Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment (including operating an electric pallet jack) in accordance with safety and maintenance standards
• Follow all safety protocols and participate in a random drug testing program

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; 1-3 years of related mechanical or industry experience preferred
• Valid state-issued driver's license, minimum age 21, with a clean driving record; non-CDL medical card or Class C CDL with HazMat Endorsement required (CDL preferred and pays more)
• EPA Universal Certification preferred, or ability to obtain within 14 days of hire
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, computer proficiency, and comfort learning proprietary scheduling/work order software
• Mechanically inclined, organized, and safety-focused with flexibility for occasional overtime
