Backend Developer Opportunity

This is a backfill. JCI is looking for a candidate with 5+ years as a backend developer. Someone that is heads down and can hit the ground running. This candidate will work as a left-hand man to Daniel Pomerantz (cloud architect). The ideal candidate would be a “code junky” with great communications skills. Has 5 direct team members, consisting of 4 backend devs, and 1 mobile dev (All in India). JCI currently has a hiring freeze, this role will be 3-month contract with the potential for extension or hiring for the right candidate. Ok to work with AV, however, must be strong in coding, great price, and great communication skills.

Must haves:

• Node.js programmer
• Write Node.js/Express
• Typescript/Javascript
• API – web apps
• Git/Github
• Postgres - SQL Database
• Docker/Kubernetes

Soft skills:

• Hit the ground running - “No hand holding”
• Work independently - Doesn’t want micromanaging
• Ask questions when unsure about something
• Heads down programmer
• Must be ok with taking orders
• Personality – must be able to ask for help when needed

Candidate Background:

• Web API projects
• Has Express/Node.js experience
• .Net Developer background w/ Node.js
