Responsibilities The Hughes Center is a highly-structured psychiatric residential treatment facility for youth ages 10 to 22 with neurodevelopmental disorders. The Hughes Center also provides private, community-based educational services. We provide both individualized and holistic care for adolescents and young adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a nurturing, family-friendly environment. We utilize a multidisciplinary team approach to provide comprehensive evaluations and evidence-based treatment (and educational) interventions with the intent to increase each youth's level of functional independence. Our team also works diligently to address or manage medical conditions and challenging behaviors that are often associated with individuals who are diagnosed with neurodevelopmental disorders. We challenge our residents to adapt to and apply learned skills within new environments and situations, and to maintain functional use of these skills when they return to their homes or other community-based settings. The HR Generalist The HR Generalist assists in multiple areas of HR including recruitment, employee relations, retention strategies, and performance management. This role also assists with departmental compliance with facility, legal, and regulatory requirements. Plans and organizes a system of personnel record keeping that is efficient and protects the confidentiality of employee records. Leads the recruitment process for the facility, posts job requisitions, screens candidates, makes offers of employment, and follows the process to hire. Schedules, notifies, and prepares proper paperwork for the New Employee Orientation Program. Conducts the personnel portion of the orientation process. Job Duties/Responsibilities Performs full cycle recruitment for assigned positions. Assists with engagement and retention programs including the onboarding program. Helps coordinate and prepare for New Hire Orientation, staff onboarding requirements, and maintenance of staff education requirements. Performs HR file audits to ensure regulatory compliance. Qualifications REQUIREMENTS: Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field, Experience: A minimum of three (3) years' experience in human resources, preferably in a health care setting. A working knowledge of behavioral health management practices and clinical operations. Excellent communication skills, both written and oral. An advanced knowledge of state and federal regulatory and various accreditation requirements related to behavioral health management.
