Banquet Manager

Position Summary
We are seeking a dynamic, results-driven Banquets Manager to serve as the driving force behind flawless event execution at a luxury beachfront resort.
This role provides full oversight of banquet operations, including ballroom events, outdoor functions, and poolside food and beverage experiences, ensuring each occasion reflects the highest standards of luxury hospitality.
The Banquets Manager is responsible for end-to-end event execution, coordinating intricate logistics from initial planning and customized menu development with the culinary team through seamless setup, service delivery, event breakdown, and post-event follow-up.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, inspiring high-performing teams, and delivering exceptional service aligned with Forbes Five-Star standards.
Key Responsibilitie
sBanquet & Pool Operation
- sOversee the daily operations of banquet and pool food and beverage outlets, ensuring seamless execution and elevated guest experience
- sLead the planning and execution of weddings, social events, corporate meetings, and special function
- sEnsure all banquet spaces, pool areas, and event venues maintain the highest standards of cleanliness, organization, and presentatio
- nCollaborate with Culinary and Food & Beverage leadership to develop customized menus and innovative programmin
- gEnsure consistent execution of luxury service standards across all banquet and pool operation
sService Standards & Trainin
- gAssist in developing, refining, and implementing service standards, operating procedures, and training material
- sCreate and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and departmental training tool
- sInspire, coach, train, and develop banquet and pool teams to deliver exceptional servic
- eFoster a culture of teamwork, accountability, open communication, recognition, and continuous improvemen
- tEnsure all team members are trained on responsible alcohol service and luxury hospitality standard
sLeadership & Team Developmen
- tRecruit, onboard, schedule, and supervise banquet and pool team member
- sEffectively manage performance through coaching, counseling, development planning, and corrective action when necessar
- yLead daily pre-shift meetings and ongoing training initiative
- sMaintain staffing levels that align with business needs and service expectation
sFinancial & Administrative Managemen
- tControl labor costs through effective forecasting, scheduling, and staffing strategie
- sManage departmental expenses through strategic purchasing and inventory control
- sComplete monthly inventory counts and maintain established par level
- sOversee payroll accuracy, service charge distribution, cash handling procedures, and daily reportin
- gManage POS systems, departmental budgets, and competitive market analysi
- sPartner with the Director of Food & Beverage to develop selling strategies and enhance revenue opportunitie
sCompliance & Quality Assuranc
- eEnsure compliance with all company policies and local, state, and federal regulation
- sMaintain sanitation standards and food safety practices across all areas of responsibilit
- yMonitor adherence to alcohol service regulations and TIPS certification requirement
- sCoordinate with department leaders to ensure smooth resort-wide operation
- sStay informed on local dining and hospitality trends and communicate relevant insights to the tea

sRequire
- dMinimum of 3–4 years of experience as a Banquet & Events Manager or Food & Beverage Manager in a luxury hotel or resort environmen
- tExperience overseeing multiple food and beverage outlets and high-volume event operation
- sStrong knowledge of luxury service standards, including Forbes Five-Star and AAA Five Diamond expectation
- sProven expertise in labor management, food and beverage cost control, inventory management, and budgetin
- gExcellent beverage knowledge with a strong understanding of wine, spirits, and cocktail program
- sThorough understanding of local and state laws related to food and alcohol servic
- eStrong leadership, organizational, and communication skill
- sExceptional problem-solving and conflict-resolution abilitie
- sDemonstrated ability to influence, motivate, and develop team
- sProficiency with POS systems, payroll processing, and operational reportin
