As an Elementary School Teacher, you will play a vital role in nurturing young learners, preparing them for kindergarten, and instilling a love for learning.Your Role and ResponsibilitiesAs an elementary teacher at CLA, you’ll have the opportunity to:Inspire Young Minds: Create and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons across content areas using high-quality curriculum resources like Into Reading, Eureka Math, and Core KnowledgeFoster a Positive Environment: Build a classroom where every student feels safe, respected, and encouraged to thriveGuide Student Learning: Use real-time data and formative assessments to guide your instruction and provide targeted support for each learnerCollaborate and Differentiate: Work with specialists to ensure every student’s needs are met through thoughtful differentiation and teamworkReinforce School Culture: Promote a strong school culture with consistent routines, clear expectations, and positive reinforcementEngage Families: Maintain regular communication with families about student progress, behavior, and successesGrow Professionally: Be open to feedback and continuously improve through coaching and collaboration with your peersMinimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree (required)One of the following in elementary education:Colorado teaching license or endorsement36 credit hours in contentPassing score on approved Praxis examsFor grades K–3 positions, 45 hours of Colorado READ Act training or passed PRAXIS 5205Prior experience working with elementary-aged students strongly preferredAbout UsCommunity Leadership Academy and Victory Preparatory Academy are located just north of downtown Denver in Commerce City, CO.
