Summary/Objective - The Lead Teacher is responsible for meeting the social, emotional, cognitive and physical needs of a group of young children with and without special needs. The Lead Teacher is responsible for implementing the assigned curriculum and must ensure lesson plans and activities lend to adaptations for children with special needs. 

Requirements:

Required Education and Experience

• 18 years of age
• Minimum of Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development or related field 

Preferred Education and Experience

• One year experience working in early childhood
• One year experience working with children with special needs
• BA in a related field with a minimum of 12 credit hours in Child Development or Early Education
• Bilingual (English and Spanish)

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

• Must pass criminal history background check
• Reliable, dependable and always vigilant of surroundings
• Excellent organizational & time management skills
• Positive communication skills 
• Participate as a member of a team and contribute to group efforts
• CPR & First Aid Certification, Food Handlers Certification, negative TB Test
