Registered Nurse (RN) – PCU / Stepdown (HVTI)

Location: Cleveland, OH
Job Type: Contract
Duration: 13 Weeks | 18 Weeks Also Accepted
Shift: Rotating Day/Night | 7:00 AM–7:30 PM / 7:00 PM–7:30 AM
Schedule: 3x12 Hours | Every Other Holiday Required
Local Candidates: Accepted
Traveler Candidates: Accepted

Pay Rate:

Traveler: $65 - $70
Local: $60 - $65

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 12 months of permanent RN experience in the specialty — Required
• PCU/Stepdown experience — Preferred
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact RN license — Required
• AHA BLS certification — Required
• ACLS certification — Required
• NIHSS certification — Required
• Successful completion of ECG Rhythm Recognition assessment during orientation
• Successful completion of SafeMedicate assessment during orientation
• Ability to work rotating day/night shifts
• Ability to work every other holiday
• Ability to float to designated units within the same patient population

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care to PCU/Stepdown cardiac and Medical-Surgical patients
• Perform ongoing patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Monitor telemetry and recognize ECG rhythm changes
• Administer medications and therapeutic interventions safely
• Monitor patient conditions and respond appropriately to changes
• Maintain accurate and timely patient documentation
• Apply evidence-based nursing practices and patient-safety standards
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Float to J1-2, J33, and the Emergency Department as required
• Provide care to patients with similar cardiac and medical-surgical needs while floating
• Follow hospital policies, clinical standards, and infection-control procedures
