Location & Shift Location: Geisinger Wyoming Valley (GWV) – Shift: Nights (United States) – Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0 – Worker Type: Regular – Exemption Status: No Job Summary Geisinger is proud to offer a per diem inpatient RN with market‑leading pay rates and up to $7 shift differentials for evening, nights, and weekend shifts. Job Duties & Responsibilities Complete patient assessments per scope of practice and unit standards. Address physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care. Formulate, coordinate, and provide a plan of care per unit standards, including patient and family education and discharge planning. Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies according to policy and procedure. Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and revise the plan of care based on patient response. Initiate collaboration with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs proactively. Problem‑solve, troubleshoot, and take corrective measures for equipment care and handling. Participate in unit‑based decision‑making concerning the utilization of evidence‑based practice. Actively participate as a team member toward unit and organizational goals, accounting for unit and system‑specific metrics. Engage in patient quality and safety education programs and related activities to improve departmental and organizational quality and safety. Education & Qualifications Graduate from Specialty Training Program‑Nursing (required). Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (preferred).
