Avionics Electronics Technician II - 2nd Shift (Onsite)

Date Posted: 2026-06-03 Country: United States of America Location: US-MN-BURNSVILLE-WEST ~ 14300 Judicial Rd ~ WEST BLDG Overview The Avionics Repair Technician is responsible for assessing, repairing, testing and documenting repair material in an FAA‑regulated environment. The position requires a 2nd shift schedule: Monday‑Friday, 3:00‑11:30 PM. What You Will Do Utilize a limited variety of microelectronic, electronic, optical, electro‑optical, mechanical, or electromechanical equipment, including computers and lasers. Follow written procedures and demonstrate proper use of hand tools and measuring devices. Follow blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met. Troubleshoot and test repair units. Use electronic test and troubleshooting equipment. Utilize SAP and other MRO computer programs. Participate on project teams. Apply technical expertise in the evaluation, development, maintenance and use of complex products, devices, tests, or procedures under constantly changing conditions where ingenuity and judgment are required. Display high motivation and dedication to exceeding customer expectations. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Utilize analytical skills and problem‑solving abilities. Work effectively in a team within a fast‑paced environment. Communicate written and verbally with technicians, engineering, and leadership within the MRO. Responsible for moderate level of planning. Safety Sensitive This position is considered safety sensitive in accordance with FAA guidelines. Candidates are subject to drug and alcohol testing per FAA’s regulation 14 CFR part 120 and 49 CFR part 40. Primary Qualifications You Must Have High School Diploma with a minimum of 1 year of relevant experience. Electronics background with at least 2 years of complementary work history in a manufacturing or service environment. Preferred Qualifications AAS degree in electronics and/or prior military experience strongly preferred. At least 2 years of experience with aviation manufacturing or repair is preferred. Possesses or can obtain Preliminary MRB (Materials Review Board) authorization. Experience reviewing CMM/SB (Compliance Maintenance Manual/Service Bulletin) documentation and creating mark‑ups. Hours Monday‑Friday, 3:00‑11:30 PM (2nd shift).
