Product Owner - Onsite Position

Genesis10 is currently seeking a Product Owner - Onsite position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC, Pennington, NJ, Dallas, TX or Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.

This role is responsible for maximizing product value by defining the vision and roadmap for the product. The Product Owner will define and prioritize stories in the product backlog, articulating this to both stakeholders and the development team. Working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs, the ideal candidate will ensure alignment with the Product Manager in a scaled Agile model and work in partnership with the team to ensure that optimum value is obtained through technology.

Responsibilities:

• Define the vision and roadmap for the product to align with strategic direction for the business or technology domain
• Communicate the product vision and roadmap to stakeholders and the team
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and problems
• Create and prioritize stories in the product backlog
• Refine stories with the team to ensure there are enough ready stories to load the next 1-2 sprints
• Review and accept stories and make on-the-spot decisions on scope and requirements

Requirements:

• 2+ years of experience with product management and/or marketing in the IT space
• 2+ years of experience with Agile methodology utilizing JIRA & Confluence
• Strong written & verbal communication skills to articulate/translate technical information to a non-technical audience
• Experience with Product & Service evaluation with Business Case/ROI development
• Vendor Management experience including performance and contract
• Experience with cross-department project execution
• Experience coordinating software development projects
• Ability to work independently and within a distributed global team
• Strong stakeholder management skills

Desired Skills:

• Certified Product Owner/Product Manager
• Experience driving product adoption and identifying pain points
• Financial management background

Pay range: $49.46 - $57.46 per hour
