Project Manager – Payments & Cloud
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid)
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in payment networks and cloud-based platforms. The ideal candidate will lead cross-functional teams delivering payment processing solutions, cloud migration initiatives, and strategic payment modernization programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of payment network and payment processing projects.
- Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder communications.
- Collaborate with business, product, engineering, architecture, and operations teams to deliver payment solutions.
- Drive cloud transformation and modernization initiatives leveraging AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Coordinate integrations with payment gateways, processors, card networks, and financial institutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, security requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies and oversee project execution across multiple workstreams.
- Track project KPIs and provide regular status reporting to executive leadership.
Required Qualifications
- 10+ years of Project Management experience in Payments or Financial Services.
- Strong experience with payment networks, card processing, acquiring, issuing, merchant services, or payment gateways.
- Hands-on knowledge of ISO 8583 messaging standards , transaction flows, authorization, clearing, and settlement processes.
- Experience managing cloud-based projects using AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Strong understanding of APIs, microservices, and distributed systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and leadership skills.
