The primary responsibility of the position is to deter crime through an authoritative presence.SECURITY OFFICER / SECURITY GUARD JOB REQUIREMENTS:At least 18 years oldMeet and maintain all licensing requirements for Security Guards, including passing a Criminal Background Check, as required by the Texas Department of Public Safety Private Security Bureau (PSB)Open availabilityCustomer service orientationCommunicate effectively in English, orally and in writingAbility to remain calm under pressure and handle crisis situationsCritical thinking and sound judgmentVisual acuity and hearing ability to observe and otherwise obtain information from all relevant sourcesAbility to perform general physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and/or moving the entire body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, sitting, standing for long periods of time, and handling of materialsSome locations may require driving company vehicle.
