Special Procedures/Unit Details : Join our team of remarkable nurses in providing intermittent dialysis and support services for continuous renal replacement therapy to patients of all ages. Provide hemodialysis treatments at the bedside for patients requiring one-on-one intensive or intermediate level of care throughout University Hospital, American Family Children s Hospital, East Madison Hospital. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team in the treatment and management of care for patients requiring hemodialysis in the inpatient setting. Special Equipment : Ceiling lift, Sara steady, hover mats, IV pumps know how to handle patients who has cardiac, Heparin, pain and Insulin drips. Pass /Fail Testing required with strict passing criteria. A telemetry exam will be required prior to start. The following criteria must be met in two attempts: Adult Exam: 100% identification of lethal rhythms: Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole No incorrect answers on questions regarding 3 rd degree heart blocks [1 incorrect answer will cause failure] Passing score of 80% or higher Pediatric Exam Ventricular fibrillation, ventricular tachycardia, asystole, and sinus bradycardia Passing score of 80% or higher Attempts: Traveler will have two attempts to pass. If the traveler fails the second attempt they will submit a certificate of completion of a cardiac interpretation review course to Vaya before a third attempt will be assigned. If the traveler does not pass after three attempts the assignment will be cancelled.
