Network Technician

A leading client in New Brunswick is seeking Network Operations staff for a period of one year. This is a temporary opportunity. Job details are below. Title: Network Operations Pay rate: $35/hr - $40/hr depending on experience Duration: 12 months Location: Onsite in New Brunswick, one day work from home Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:30 - 5 pm Experience: Basic networking knowledge (VLANs, ports, subnets, cabling types) Understanding rack units (RU), power distribution, UPS / PDU systems Ability to read network diagrams Safe handling of fiber and power Basic CLI familiarity (Cisco, Juniper) Duties Install network switches and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) devices. Patch end-user network ports to switches. Assist network engineers in network deployments. Perform basic network troubleshooting. Conduct site readiness checks and surveys to assess network infrastructure and prepare for installation. Power up devices and verify their operational status. Escalate configuration-related issues to network engineers.
