Job TitleJob Description:Analyze drawing/blueprints/tech data to determine supply needsCreate/Transcribe Bill of Materials (BoM)Consolidate BoMs from multiple sourcesResearch and identify potential suppliers of goods and servicesNegotiate terms with suppliers such as price, quality of goods, deadlines, lead times, expectations, etc.Liaise with suppliers and project managers regarding updates and details of goodsCreate purchase requests and tally these with supply requests and ordersAnalyze invoices and shipping documents to ensure accuracy of goods deliveredMonitor inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positiveAttend meetings upon request to develop procurement strategies to support contractsWork closely with the project teams to understand details of procurement requirementsCommunicate pricing and performance needs to vendors, suppliers, and program managersDocument the features and benefits of products and servicesPrepare cost-benefit analysis, sole source letters, and competitive quotes for review by managersDocument processes and generating supply cost reportsMonitor the company's demand for products to avoid supply shortagesKeep abreast of vendor and supplier-related activities in the industryFlexible to work long hours as demanded by projects requiredTravel to meet vendors and suppliers as necessaryAssist with establishing, organizing & maintaining inventory of gov't, customer and KIHOMAC propertyParticipate in test or project events as assigned by Project Manager or Engineering supervisorFollow engineering guidance, technical orders, and drawingsDevelop critical thinking skills, become familiar with engineering & manufacturing practices, and gain understanding of how various disciplines work together as a teamOther duties as assignedRequirementsEducation/Training:Associate's Degree in management or technical/scientific discipline requiredExcellent written and verbal communication skills requiredImpeccable negotiation and problem-solving skills desiredExceptional interpersonal skills and rapport building requiredMaintain high ethical/professional standards of performance, demeanor, and judgment alwaysExperience:10+ years of professional experience in the required task areaManufacturing experience requiredProven experience working with vendors and procuring materials requiredStrong knowledge of the industry and market conditions highly desiredJobBoss or similar ERP inventory management experience highly desiredExperience placing purchase requests highly desiredSecurity:Must be a US citizenAbility to obtain a security clearance may be requiredPhysical Requirements:Able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controlsPerform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movementsAdhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned taskAble to safely lift and carry up to 20 pounds at a timeBenefits:Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness ResourcesSalary:The projected salary range for this position is $22-$28/hour.
