Key Responsibilities

• Performing thorough patient evaluations, recommending diagnostic tests, and creating individualized treatment strategies
• Diagnosing and addressing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions either independently or in collaboration with supervising physicians, depending on credentialing
• Teaching patients and families about preventive care, wellness strategies, and disease management techniques
• Prescribing medications and therapies while adhering to the limits of your practice
• Engaging in patient follow-up and chronic disease management
• Working alongside interdisciplinary teams for integrated, comprehensive care
• Providing clear and accurate documentation within electronic medical records (EMR)

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
• Completion of an accredited NP program

Essential Certifications

• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of Florida
• National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or a relevant specialty equivalent
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or capability to secure within 90 days)
