Engineer Position

We are looking for a motivated individual for our Engineer position— a high-mix product line built around aftermarket aluminum wheels that demands rigorous process control, tooling strategy, and continuous improvement. You will analyze engineering blueprints and specifications, establish machining parameters, and apply engineering principles to ensure our processes meet precision and quality requirements from first article through full production. We're looking for someone who brings manufacturing engineering thinking to the floor—someone who can document what they've learned, contribute to process improvements, and help build repeatable, efficient methods for the jobs they run. Key Responsibilities

Manufacturing Engineering Support

• Develop and maintain setup sheets, work instructions, and tooling lists to support repeatable, consistent setups across operators and shifts

• Apply working knowledge of aluminum-alloy machining to make informed decisions on speeds, feeds, and tooling selection

• Support design for manufacturing by contributing machining expertise during process planning and first-article runs

• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action efforts for scrap, rework, and non-conforming parts

• Identify and propose process improvements that reduce cycle time, improve yield, or increase setup efficiency; document and implement approved changes

• Collaborate with manufacturing engineering, programming, and quality teams to refine processes and close gaps between the shop floor and engineering

• Analyze engineering blueprints, technical drawings, and manufacturing specifications.

• Evaluate engineering documentation and establish CNC operating parameters.

• Apply engineering principles to optimize machining processes and ensure compliance with specifications.

• Monitor machining operations and make engineering-based adjustments.

• Use precision measuring instruments to verify dimensional accuracy.

• Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical equipment issues.

Continuous Improvement & Documentation

• Develop tooling configurations and optimize production efficiency.

• Recommend engineering improvements for productivity and quality.

• Ensure compliance with engineering and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering required.

• 2+ years of engineering experience

• Working knowledge of G-code and programming logic.

• Strong understanding of machining process engineering, including speeds, feeds, tooling strategy, and workholding principles.

• Working knowledge of material properties and how they influence machining decisions

• Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical drawings and GD&T

• Experience contributing to setup documentation, work instructions, or process improvement efforts

• Experience supporting tight-tolerance machining programs in aerospace, defense, automotive, or other precision-manufacturing industries preferred.

• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a commitment to quality workmanship
