Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Tax Manager to join a well-established tax and bookkeeping services firm in Acton, MA . This leadership role involves managing complex tax engagements for individuals, businesses, and trusts. The ideal candidate will provide strategic tax planning, ensure compliance with federal and state tax regulations, supervise junior staff, and maintain strong, lasting client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead client engagements and act as a trusted advisor on complex tax issues, including risk mitigation and tax savings strategies .
Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, and trusts.
Deliver effective tax planning strategies and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and filing requirements.
Manage full-cycle accounting and tax needs for high-net-worth clients across diverse industries.
Represent clients in IRS and state audits, providing expert guidance and resolution support.
Supervise, mentor, and contribute to the professional development of junior tax staff.
Develop and maintain internal tax policies, procedures, and controls to ensure operational efficiency and compliance.
Stay current with changes in tax legislation and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications:

Active CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or EA (Enrolled Agent) designation is required.
Demonstrated experience in preparing and reviewing tax returns, filing extensions, and representing clients before the IRS.
Prior experience working in a public accounting firm .
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws and accounting principles.
Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
