Legal Assistant - Litigation

Carver Darden is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary with strong communication and computer skills with the ability to manage work for multiple attorneys. Candidates should also be well organized and professional, capable of meeting deadlines, and adept at managing multiple projects. Responsibilities: Maintaining and managing attorneys’ calendars, scheduling appointments, deadlines and court dates Accurately entering billable time in timekeeping system by transcribing dictation and other means Drafting pleadings/discovery and providing drafts to attorneys for revisions Knowledge of Electronic filing of pleadings/discovery in court records and knowledge of how to download information from court’s docket/website Providing general administrative support to attorneys, including correspondence, drafting letters, emails and other documents Saving and organizing documents appropriately in NetDocs and making sure all files are accessible Knowledge of basic trial preparation. Arranging meetings, luncheons, assembling binders and organization of files as per attorney’s specifications Coordinating travel arrangements Qualifications: Must be able to use NetDocuments or similar document management software and NextPoint or similar eDiscovery software. Minimum of 2 years of experience as a legal assistant, preferably in a litigation setting Experience with transcribing dictation Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team This full-time position offers a competitive compensation and benefits package. #J-18808-Ljbffr
