Chief Executive Officer Sun East Federal Credit Union Aston, PA USA Position Description Leadership at Sun East Federal Credit Union is not about maintaining the status quo; it is about building on a strong foundation and leading the organization into its next phase of growth and performance. Sun East is seeking a Chief Executive Officer who will lead with clarity, discipline, and accountability while balancing financial performance, member experience, employee engagement, and community presence. The next CEO will strengthen the organization’s core, expand its reach, and champion a culture where employees are developed, valued, and prepared to lead into the future. This leader will build on that foundation, bringing sound judgment, operational discipline, and a forward‑looking perspective to the organization’s continued growth. Opportunity The CEO serves as the visible leader of the organization, responsible for overall performance, financial strength, and long‑term sustainability. In close partnership with the Board of Directors, this leader ensures alignment on strategy, maintains transparency, and supports strong governance. This role requires a leader who can connect strategy to execution and understands how the organization operates, financial performance, operations, risk, and leadership effectiveness. The CEO will guide Sun East through growth and change, while evaluating internal capabilities and external opportunities to position the organization for continued success. What You Will Do Set and drive the credit union’s vision for growth, market expansion, and long‑term sustainability Ensure strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and sound risk management Partner closely with the Board to maintain alignment, transparency, and trust Lead the organization with clarity and accountability across all functions Navigate the intersection of financial performance, member experience, employee engagement, and community impact Champion and strengthen a culture of accountability, collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement Build, mentor, and develop a high‑performing executive team; establish and maintain a strong succession bench Evaluate internal structure, talent, and leadership capacity to support future growth Guide the organization through change with steady, disciplined leadership Assess external partnerships, fintech opportunities, and market conditions to inform strategic decisions Represent Sun East externally, strengthening relationships with regulators, legislators, and community leaders What You Bring to the Role Minimum of 10 years of progressive leadership experience, with 12–15+ years preferred, including executive‑level responsibility within a financial institution or similar organization Proven track record of driving growth, performance, and long‑term organizational stability Strong financial acumen, with experience ensuring financial strength, compliance, and risk management Experience leading and developing senior leadership teams across multiple functions Demonstrated commitment to leadership development, mentoring, and succession planning Ability to evaluate operations, talent, and strategy with sound judgment and discipline Experience navigating change, market pressures, and evolving industry conditions Familiarity with digital banking, fintech, and emerging technologies, and the ability to assess their impact and value Experience working effectively with a Board, including governance alignment and transparent communication Established credibility within the credit union or financial services industry Strong communication skills, with the ability to lead through clarity, consistency, and presence A leadership approach grounded in accountability, integrity, and alignment with SunEast’s mission and values What the Role Requires This is a long‑term leadership opportunity for someone who can balance vision with execution.
