About the Role As a Department Manager, you’ll lead and support your team to create an inclusive culture that promotes collaboration and an entrepreneurial spirit, helping your team and the store succeed. You will ensure an excellent operational and visual experience for customers and colleagues, be aware of store strengths and opportunities, analyze sales, and create plans to optimize results and profits. A Day in the Life Working at H&M means no two days are the same, but a typical day will include the following responsibilities. You are responsible for the total OMNI customer experience in your store, ensuring visual and commercial curation according to global guidelines Representing yourself and the H&M brand positively during customer interactions Be aware of and take responsibility for your department\'s strengths and identifying commercial opportunities and acting on them Establish and analyze sales and budget goals, creating plans to optimize results Ensure customer service is provided in all areas of the store and that your team actively promotes and sells products Follow up that your team promotes the Customer Loyalty App (Hello Member) and in-store sustainability initiatives Manage your department in a cost-efficient way Ensure correct routines in fitting room and checkout, including transactions, returns and exchanges Ensure all admin routines for both people and operations are handled correctly Customer Sales & Profit Keep the omni customer experience aligned with global guidelines, focusing on visual and commercial presentation Maintain positive brand representation during customer interactions Identify opportunities within the department and act on them Set and monitor sales and budget goals, and develop plans to optimize results Fashion & Trend Awareness Stay up-to-date with fashion trends, styles, brands, products, competitors, and influencers Ensure the team provides product knowledge and fashion information during customer interactions Team & Development Recruitment, onboarding, performance management, upskilling, and development of the in-store team Conduct performance evaluations and succession planning Share knowledge and collaborate with the team Coordinate with the in-store Visual Merchandiser team Provide and receive feedback to support learning and development Plan and schedule the team Communicate with store colleagues to inform, motivate, and inspire Ensure procedures, routines, and legal requirements are followed Participate in onboarding and training relevant to the role Retail Operations / Visual & Commercial Execution Maintain a clean and tidy sales floor and back of house Ensure high-quality visual and product presentation with proper garment care Maintain stock levels and provide input on allocation Oversee the garment cycle from delivery to presentation and fitting room routines Maintain in-store omni services and in-store tech tools (e.g., Instore Care App, Click & Collect, Smart Store) Maintain price signs and price perception in line with guidelines Update BOH areas with key information and safety standards Responsible for opening and closing the store daily Qualifications Strong leadership with responsibility for others Ambitious, effective communicator, analytical, and comfortable with numbers Achievement-oriented and customer-centric #J-18808-Ljbffr H&M
