Travel Physical Therapist - Outpatient

American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a days shift outpatient rehabilitation position requiring an active PT license and at least 1 year of experience.

• Outpatient physical therapy and rehabilitation clinic setting,

• Uses EMR for evaluations, reports, and discharge summaries,

Job Requirements

• Active state license as a Physical Therapist required (license required if applicable),
• Minimum 1 year of experience required,
• Degree in Physical Therapy required,
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs and assist with patient transfers and mobility,
• Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods during 8-10 hour work days,
• Computer skills including typing, Word, Internet, and EMR use required,

Additional Information

• Responsible for evaluating and treating patients for physical therapy and rehabilitation programs,
• Supervises PT Assistants and Aides in patient care,
• Communicates with physicians and staff to ensure quality patient care,
• Maintains accurate patient chart documentation and follow-up on prescriptions, test results, and authorizations,
• Works closely with front office staff on scheduling and patient follow-up,
• Familiarity with PT billing policies including Medicare, workers' comp, private, auto, and liens,
• Proficient in DX and ICD-10 coding for billing of services,
• Complies with HIPAA and OSHA regulations,
• No travel required for this position
