Data Engineer

Salary: $80,000 - 100,000 per year Requirements:

• We are looking for strong experience with Google Cloud Platform, especially BigQuery, dbt Core, advanced SQL, Python, REST API integration, Git/GitHub, and CI/CD pipelines.
• We need solid expertise in data modeling, dimensional modeling, data quality automation, performance tuning, cloud-native architecture, and software engineering practices.
• We expect familiarity with AI agent frameworks and implementations, including Google Cloud Platform Gemini.
• We value experience with Looker/LookML, Power BI, semantic modeling, KPI development, and dashboard optimization.
• We seek hands-on knowledge of agile delivery, DevOps and automation, infrastructure-as-code concepts, monitoring and observability, technical documentation, and collaborative peer review practices.
• Preferred experience includes building enterprise-scale data and analytics platforms.
• Preferred background in Marketing, Digital Analytics, Customer, or Advertising data domains.
• Preferred experience implementing Medallion Architecture and data product operating models.
• Preferred exposure to orchestration tools such as Airflow, Cloud Composer, or Cloud Run.
• Preferred understanding of data governance, GDPR, PII handling, and enterprise security controls.
• Preferred experience supporting AI, machine learning, and conversational analytics use cases.
• Preferred experience working closely with product, engineering, governance, and business stakeholders in cross-functional teams.

• We design, build, and support scalable data pipelines and ELT workflows on Google Cloud Platform using our dbt platform.
• We develop and maintain data products using Medallion Architecture across Bronze, Silver, and Gold layers.
• We create dbt models, reusable transformations, and analytics engineering frameworks.
• We design optimized BigQuery datasets, models, views, and query performance strategies.
• We implement automated data quality checks, testing, observability, and monitoring capabilities.
• We build and support semantic models for analytics and reporting in Looker and Power BI.
• We partner with analytics engineers, software engineers, QA engineers, architects, and business stakeholders to deliver trusted data products.
• We support CI/CD, release management, automated testing, and deployment processes.
• We apply and maintain data governance, security, privacy, and access control standards.
• We contribute to architecture decisions, platform standards, and engineering best practices.
• We troubleshoot production incidents and continuously improve reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.
• We deliver high-quality production-ready solutions, automate manual work, and mentor fellow engineers while influencing technical direction.
