Requirements and Desired Experience:

• Valid and current Special Education teaching certification appropriate for the grade levels
• Experience working with 4th and 5th grade students or similar elementary age groups
• Strong ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Familiarity with resource classroom models and differentiated instruction
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and faculty
• Ability to maintain detailed records and manage a caseload of approximately 20-25 students

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide direct instructional support and resource assistance for 4th and 5th grade students with diverse learning needs
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to each child’s IEP goals
• Assess student skills, monitor progress, and adjust strategies as needed to ensure academic growth
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and parents to foster a positive and inclusive classroom culture
• Maintain an organized classroom environment that encourages student independence and participation
• Participate in student-centered meetings, IEP reviews, and professional development opportunities
