Position Assistant Principal Location Mount Pleasant Elementary School Work Year 199 days; July 1 to June 30 Starting 2025-2026 School Year Salary $84,000 - $94,200 (Contracted Salary and Benefits) Qualifications Candidates must be NH certified or eligible as a Principal. The certification requires a Masters degree in Administration or Leadership and three successful years as an educator. The preferred candidate will have five years educational experience, including significant administrative/supervisory and teaching and learning experiences. Summary of Responsibilities Assistant Principal Responsibilities: Serve as acting principal during the absence of the Principal; assist the Principal with the improvement of the instructional program and inherent supervisory duties; Assist in selection of personnel; observe and together with principal evaluate teachers, paraprofessionals and school nurse; Supervise substitutes and student teachers; Assume primary responsibility for student attendance and discipline; Assist in the preparation of pupil schedules and assignments; Serve on the Special Education placement team in the absence of the Principal; Perform such duties as the Principal may assign.
