Material Handler – 1st ShiftPay Rate: $18/hour Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM Overtime: Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required Job Type: Full-TimeJob SummaryWe are looking for a dependable Material Handler to join our warehouse team on 1st shift. This position is responsible for moving, preparing, and organizing materials and finished products throughout the facility. The ideal candidate is reliable, detail-oriented, comfortable with physical work, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced warehouse environment.This position will also assist with building displays, applying price stickers, labeling shipments, and preparing customer orders.ResponsibilitiesMove materials, supplies, and finished products throughout the facility using a hand truck or other equipment as assignedLoad and unload freight safely and efficientlyLoad finished products onto pallets or hand trucksStack pallets and skids in designated storage or staging areasPick and pack customer orders accuratelyBuild displays and prepare merchandise according to specificationsApply price stickers and labels to productsLabel shipments according to company and customer requirementsPick, check, sort, consolidate, wrap, pack, and load freight for shipmentComplete shipment confirmations and other required paperwork or system entriesVerify freight accuracy and inspect products for damageUse RF scanners to assist with inventory and order accuracyAssist with physical inventories and cycle countsMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work areaSweep floors, remove trash, and assist with general housekeeping as neededFollow all company safety and housekeeping proceduresPerform other duties as assigned by managementQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED preferredPrevious warehouse or material handling experience is a plusStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamComfortable working in a physically demanding warehouse environmentAbility to stand and walk for extended periodsAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 poundsAbility to frequently bend, stoop, squat, crouch, climb, stretch, and reachAbility to work in varying noise, lighting, and temperature conditionsBasic computer or RF scanner experience is a plusReliable attendance and a strong work ethic
