Position Overview

• Emergency Medicine physician coverage in a critical access hospital emergency department
• Hospital size: 25 beds
• Emergency department beds: 5
• Annual ED volume: about 19,000
• EMR: Epic
• On site diagnostic services include CT, ICU capability, MRI, nuclear medicine, and ultrasound

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO
• Board certified or board eligible in Emergency Medicine preferred
• Family Medicine or Internal Medicine considered with ACLS, ATLS, and PALS
• Active Louisiana medical license in hand. IMLC not accepted.
• Active board certification documentation
• Louisiana DEA in hand with Louisiana address
• Louisiana controlled substance registration when required

Credentialing

• Estimated credentialing timeframe: 61 to 90 days
