223: Hardware Engineer Sr/Lead - Embedded (USA) Lead, and when necessary provide coordination of, hardware architecture, design implementation,and verification tasks. Provide technical leadership on hardware development activities for telematics and IoT intelligentedge device solutions. Evaluate client product specifications, work with clients to resolve specification concerns, anddesign/implement product to these requirements. Conduct circuit design, simulation, and analysis. Conduct circuit and product risk assessment. Develop BOM, product costing and manage PCBA build. Create validation plans for devices, and lead risk assessment for manufacturing. Design for manufacturability of high volume products. Coordinate product certification activities based on a development schedule. Requirements Desired Attributes: Strong background in hardware design with a focus on wireless technologies (Cellular Modems, GPS,Bluetooth including LE and Bluetooth 5, Internal Battery Management). Hardware design experience in Vehicle Communication Technology. Hardware design experience in Networking Communications both wired (USB, Ethernet, etc.) andwireless (802.15.4, 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac, etc.) including UDP, TCP, FTP, MQTT, CoAP, etc. Experience working through complex technical issues with customers and external test labs. Ability to communicate and work side by side with the customer on a regular basis. Experience developing automated testing and/or scripting to support manufacturing and certificationtesting. Be able to write low-level basic C-language code or scripts used to verify the hardware. Experience with FPGAs Required Education and Experience BS in Electrical Engineering. 5-10 years of hardware design and development experience. Understanding of general hardware product architecture, design, development, verification andcertification processes. Strong analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
