The Basics

• Role: RN - ICU (Nights, 1900–0700)
• Hours: 36 hours/week (3 x 12hr shifts)
• Experience: 1.5–2 years ICU experience (First-time travelers okay)

The Unit & Ratios

• Ratios: 1:2 to 1:3 (Triplets are common and can include Med/Tele patients)
• Support: No CNA overnight (Charge nurse is also in staffing). 24/7 RT and Hospitalist available.
• Tele: RNs monitor and read their own telemetry.

Floating (High Requirement)

• Inside Hospital: ICU, PCU, Med/Tele (1:4), ED holds, or Psych (meds only).
• Regional Floating: Must be willing to float to other facilities in the region (Cabarrus, University City, Lake Norman, CMC Main, Mercy, LCH Peds). Paid on the clock for mid-shift travel time.

Rules & Scheduling

• Clock-in: Strict window between 1838 and 1845 .
• Weekends/Holidays: Every other weekend minimum; must work 75% of holidays. No call.
• Scrubs: Solid Navy Blue (White or Navy undershirt; no T-shirts, no Crocs ).
• Parking: Free.
• Tech: EPIC, Alaris pumps, Omnicell, Phillips monitors.
