About the Position

# Job Opportunity – Labor & Delivery / Mother-Baby Registered Nurse – Tennessee**Start Date:** September 25, 2026 **Location:** Tennessee **Compensation:** Details provided to qualified applicants **Schedule:** Full-time, 3 shifts per week with rotating weekends and holidays; day, evening, and night shifts available**Highlights:** - Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) combined unit offering comprehensive OB experience including labor, delivery, postpartum, and newborn care- 9-bed LDRP unit with 1-bed OB Emergency Department, 4-bed Level II NICU, and 1 OR suite for cesarean sections- Patient ratios: 1:1 for active labors, inductions, and C-sections; couplet care 1:3; NICU intermediate care 1:3- Joint Commission accredited facility with Level II Trauma Center, Stroke Center, and Level II NICU designations- Documentation systems: Meditech and CPN Central Monitoring with advanced equipment including telemed robot for neonatology support- Collaborative team environment with seasoned staff averaging 10-30 years of experience who serve as excellent mentors and preceptors**Requirements:** - Active RN license in Tennessee or compact state license- Current BLS and NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certifications required- Fetal monitoring training and certification required- Labor and delivery experience required, including ability to labor and recover mothers and receive/transition newborns- Experience with OB emergencies including shoulder dystocia and postpartum hemorrhage preferred- Experience with inductions (Pitocin, Cervidil) and fetal monitoring strongly preferred**Why It's a Great Opportunity:** This LDRP model provides exceptional opportunities to develop and maintain comprehensive skills across the entire maternal-child health continuum, from labor and delivery through postpartum and newborn care.
