Early Intervention Community Engagement & Communications Coordinator

Human Services Program Consultant II (NS) Agency: Department of Health and Human Services, Division Child and Family Well-Being Position Number: 65042602 | Grade: NC15 Responsibilities Communicate information within and outside the Infant-Toddler Program to engage partners and parents, including general program issues, Interagency Coordinating Council (ICC) activities, and division/directive policies. Attend, lead, present to, and train various partner workgroups; collaborate, solicit feedback, and coordinate recruitment of partners for program initiatives. Coordinate family engagement initiatives, including recruiting and training family leaders to incorporate family participation, voice, and feedback in all program initiatives. Develop and provide internal and external partner training initiatives, integrating planning and implementation with other Early Intervention Section offices. Maintain high-level communication on routine and potentially controversial issues with the ICC, ensuring alignment with the mission and goals of the Early Intervention Section. Coordinate ICC activities, develop, implement, and evaluate program components involving interagency collaboration; support and train ICC and Local Interagency Coordinating Council (LICC) members statewide. Present information, facilitate discussions, and demonstrate in-depth knowledge of the early intervention program and its partners. Qualifications Master’s degree in a discipline specific to the program from an accredited institution and four years of experience in the area of assignment, including two years in a supervisory or consultative capacity. OR Bachelor’s degree in a discipline specific to the program from an accredited institution, six years of experience in the area of assignment, including two years in a supervisory or consultative capacity. Equivalent combination of education and experience may satisfy the requirements. Preferred Skills and Experience Knowledge of early childhood and early intervention systems, federal grant requirements, and governmental practices. Strong written and verbal communication skills with internal leadership, external partners, and stakeholders. Ability to manage public information, outreach, and program awareness effectively. Experience leading work groups, delivering trainings, and presenting across diverse audiences.
