Position Overview

Description of Responsibilities

• Conduct a range of ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, obstetric, gynecological, vascular, and small parts imaging
• Prioritize patient comfort and safety throughout procedures, clearly explaining each step with care and understanding
• Engage in close collaboration with radiologists and referring physicians to ensure comprehensive diagnostic imaging
• Manage and maintain imaging equipment, promptly reporting any malfunctions
• Document procedures accurately and ensure patient records are updated in the electronic medical system
• Stay informed about advancements in ultrasound imaging techniques and industry best practices

Education Requirements

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography or a related discipline
• Preferred completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Sonography program

Certifications Required

• Current certification through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or equivalent
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
