Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients to identify underlying causes of pain through detailed patient histories and physical examinations.
• Collaborate with a diverse range of healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized pain management plans, integrating pharmacological and non-pharmacological approaches.
• Utilize various pain management techniques, including medication management, interventional procedures, and complementary therapies like physical therapy and counseling.
• Monitor patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on outcomes, ensuring optimal patient care.
• Educate patients and their families on pain management strategies and wellness options, empowering them to take an active role in their health journeys.
• Participate in clinical research projects and quality improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing service delivery and patient satisfaction.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The Nurse Practitioner will primarily work with students and their families, many of whom come from underserved communities facing challenges such as limited access to healthcare and socioeconomic disparities. Qualifications

• Current certification as a Nurse Practitioner, with an active nursing license in the state of Florida.

• Proven experience of at least three years in clinical practice, preferably in pain management, community health, or public health environments.

Compensation and Benefits
